Mike Muaina


Michael's upbringing in Southern California provided him with valuable life skills that have significantly contributed to his current success as a business professional. Despite not pursuing formal education at a college or university, he attributes his knowledge and expertise to the "School of Hard Knocks." Following his dedicated service as a full-time Spanish-speaking missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Michael embarked on a career at Hughes Aircraft Company, Satellite Division in Torrance, CA, where he gained eight years of valuable experience before deciding to venture into entrepreneurship.

Over the past 35 years, Michael has been actively involved in numerous business ventures, ranging from startups to well-established enterprises. Throughout this journey, he discovered a genuine passion for cultivating meaningful relationships with individuals at all levels of the corporate hierarchy, including executives, business owners, partners, and middle management. Through these relationships, Michael gained firsthand insights into business management, sales, marketing, finance, leadership, and business development. Above all, he treasures the importance of nurturing strong business relationships. While he has encountered both successes and failures, his versatile experience spans across diverse industries such as manufacturing, direct marketing, technology, sports and entertainment, retail, wholesale, crypto/blockchain, and food and beverage, among others.

Motivated by a powerful vision, Michael established FORGE with the intention of creating an opportunity for individuals worldwide to attain generational wealth and forge financial stability, freedom, and opportunities. This vision is fueled by essential relationships and partnerships with like-minded individuals who share his passion and drive.

James Moyes


James earned his BA with cum laude honors from Utah Valley State College in 2003, and graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from Utah State University in 2006. Prior to co-founding RedStone Advisors in 2008 James spent several years with Merrill Lynch in Provo, Utah. James has a special interest in working with all sizes of organizations in developing and maintaining effective retirement plans and helping their employees understand and utilize their employers retirement benefit. This led James to pursue both the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designations. Additionally James is experienced in working with wealth management clientele and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®).

James has been featured in Forbes, Fortune and Money magazines, has been named to the Financial Times top Financial Advisors list for 6 consecutive years and was recognized at one of the National Association of Plan Advisors’ (NAPA) top 40 under 40 in 2016 and 2017. He has testified before the Utah State Senate Finance Committee and United States Senate Finance Sub-Committee on topics pertaining to the impacts of legislation on retirement plans, plan sponsors and plan participants.

James resides in Lehi with his wife and four girls. He is an avid wildlife enthusiast and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family hunting, fishing, hiking and almost anything else involving the outdoors. His 4 daughters are active in sports and keep James grounded and his priorities straight.

Daren Wilde


Daren Wilde serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Forge, where he brings a deep-rooted enthusiasm for optimizing business operations, shaped by a rich tapestry of professional experiences. With an unyielding disposition toward conquering challenges, Daren has proven his mettle in a variety of roles across diverse industries.

Commencing his career as an Air Force pilot, Daren transitioned to the corporate sector and made a significant impact at iDeal International, a trailblazer in the nascent field of online auctions and sales. His leadership at iDeal was pivotal in realizing extraordinary growth rates, ultimately culminating in the acquisition of the company.

Subsequently, Daren leveraged his passion for aviation and entrepreneurship and founded Morning Star Balloons, a premier hot-air balloon tourism venture in Park City, Utah. This endeavor not only confirmed his ability to scale and manage a business but also provided the flexibility needed to participate actively in family life.

With a marital journey spanning over three and a half decades, Daren considers his family the wellspring of his deepest satisfaction. Following religious LDS missions served by both himself and his children, who are also members of the Forge Advisory Board, Daren found himself in an empty-nest alongside his wife, Angie. Seizing this transitional period as an opportunity, he returned to the aviation sector, assuming a role as a commercial pilot for Spirit Airlines.

As he approaches the denouement of his aviation career, Daren is fully committed to deploying his multifaceted skillset at Forge, aiming to solidify its reputation as an unrivaled financial services provider committed to democratizing financial freedom. Daren has been an integral part of the Forge team from its inception, working diligently behind the scenes. He now takes great honor and excitement in formally stepping into his role as Chief Operating Officer.

John Nitta


After graduating from Arizona State University's school of business, John began his career in the accounting department of a regional cable TV company.  He eventually rose to the position of executive vice president of finance and a member of the board of directors for TEN Private Cable Systems (TEN).

After leaving TEN, John went to work for Yamagata Enterprises, Inc. (YEI), a private equity company in Las Vegas, starting out in the finance/accounting department eventually becoming the Controller of the company.  He transitioned from the finance department and became Vice President of Business Development.  In this position, John's duties included due diligence in new investment opportunities, managing the investments of YEI, and other management duties/decisions of the company.  Other duties included being a member of the board of directors of YEI's portfolio companies such as Morris Travel Services, Domino's Pizza Japan, Community Bank of Nevada, et al.

John has been active in charitable/volunteer endeavors such as an organizer and president of Yamagata Foundation, a member of BYU-Hawaii's David O. McKay Circle of donors, and a board member of the Ace Academy.

Derek Muaina
Derek Muaina


Following receipt of a bachelors in science in chemical engineering, Derek obtained both his JD and MBA from Brigham Young University in 2011. After several years of practicing civil litigation, he began representing corporate clients in transactional matters, and acquired a wide array of skills in various areas of the law, including contracts, real estate, regulatory, compliance and environmental work. More recent work introduced him to privacy and cybersecurity work and an interest in blockchain technology. Derek oversees all of FORGE’s legal, compliance and governance matters.

Nigel Wood


Nigel has over 20 years of technology industry experience, with work experience at Novell, Adobe, Infor, and Proofpoint.  He earned a BS degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University and earned a MS degree in Information Systems from DePaul University.  His area of expertise includes, digital imaging, SaaS, customer experience (CX), strategic account management and vendor management.  Nigel's goal at FORGE is to provide and support customers the best and most personal experience as they journey along with FORGE's cutting edge platforms.

Luke Epps

VP of Business Development

Luke Epps is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in business operations. With a plethora of experience, he has established a reputation as a strategic, innovative thinker, providing immense value to numerous start-up organizations and established companies over the past two decades.

After completing his studies in Business Management and Information Technology at Liberty University, Luke worked as Director of Client Services and eDiscovery, providing computer forensics expertise for the largest litigation support firm in the Carolinas. Throughout his career, Luke has demonstrated a strong ability to develop relationships across borders and cultures. He is adept at maximizing organizational efficiency and possesses a keen ability to adapt. With expertise in international business operations and analysis, he excels in managing complex projects and programs, leveraging his extensive knowledge to strategically plan and execute business expansion by establishing and negotiating profitability, logistics, banking, legal framework, and marketing strategy.

In addition to his technical abilities, Luke is recognized for his collaborative, team-centered approach. He leads by example, empowering teams to always put forth 100% effort and dedication. Beyond his professional endeavors, Luke is passionate about his wife and kids, and enjoys reading, playing golf, and attending concerts whenever given the opportunity.
